CBD Isolate VS. CBD Full-Spectrum Oil

With CBD becoming increasingly recognised and welcomed by many, there’s still so much we don’t know about the cannabis plant in it’s entirety, as well as the benefits of it’s many uncharted chemical compounds. However, what we do know so far has has proven to carry a great deal of value in benefitting the lives of everyday people.

CBD is meerly one chemical compound found out of hundreds in the cannabis plant. Thanks to extensive ongoing research, CBD has proven to aid the lives of many suffering from conditions such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, inflammation, arthritis, anxiety/stress and many more.

The difference between cannabis, hemp and marijuana

It’s important to understand the difference between these plants. Even though they may be from the same family, their purposes are very different.

Cannabis is the umbrella that hemp and marijuana fall under. From cannabis, hemp and marijuana plants are grown for different purposes. Hemp is grown for it’s multipurpose benefits, such as it’s utilization in commercial products like paper, rope, canvas, textiles, fuel, batteries, plastic products, jeans, paint/varnish and many, many more! The list goes on and on! Hemp also contains very little THC (0.3% or less to be classified as hemp, keeping it legal), but a high percentage of CBD.

Marijuana is grown, predominatley, for it’s recreational use. Containing high levels of THC and low levels of CBD, marijuana is used medicinally in countries that have lifted the ban for that purpose, and is also legal for recreational use in some states of America as well as the Netherlands.

The majority of CBD oils on the market are made from hemp, explaining the spike in manufacturers of the product. Be sure to do your research regarding legitimate companies making CBD. With it not being regulated yet, there’s plenty of space for phonies.

CBD Isolate

CBD isolate is a 99% pure crystalline that contains nothing else, except pure, isolated CBD compounds. With the CBD content being so high, many people initially thought that using the isolate on it’s own would be the most profitable method of use.

We know that CBD is primarily the active compound in the plant that provides the medical relief and therapy. Why not create a powder that’s 100% pure CBD and use that for ailments? We will soon explain what changed majority of CBD users viewpoint.

CBD Full-Spectrum

Full-spectrum contains other cannabinoids in addition to the CBD, such as CBN, CBL, and CBCVA, as well as aromatic cannabis terpenes like pinene and limonene.

So how do you know which one is right for you?

In 2015, researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Lautenberg Center for General and Tumor Immunology, made the discovery of what’s called the “entourage effect”. This refers to the functioning of CBD, along with other cannabis plant compounds, being much more effective when working together, rather than just by itself.

The reason for this has not yet been discovered, however, it’s now generally accepted that full-spectrum CBD oil is more effective at treating the majority of medical conditions, than is CBD isolate.

In conclusion

CBD isolate still holds a special place in the continually-expanding cannabis market. CBD isolate is perfect for those who prefer to measure their own dose of full-spectrum and isolate when creating their own personal mixture of remedies.

For the large majority of average users though, a high-quality full-spectrum CBD oil will be the better, more efficient option.
